Installing Apache Tomcat in Linux (SuSe Enterprise Server 10) at 12/18/2011

First of all, we need a running linux server. I'm using Suse Enterprise Server 10 to deploy Tomcat because it's easy.

Ok, before we start do the installation what we need is a running Java platform. Which is Java Development Kit (JDK) also we need to install and setup Java Runtime Environment (JRE). By using command "java" and "javac" at your terminal to check whether the installation works or not.

You can also check with your browser by enter "about:plugins" at the url address bar (firefox).

Right now we already setup the java platform. What we need to do now is to download the installation package for the tomcat also know as "jakarta-tomcat" Go to the Apache Tomcat Browser and select the installation package for the linux platform.

After the installation is done we need to start the services by typing "rctomcat5 start" the services will immediately started! You can also use the "rctomcat5 restart" to restart the service or "rctomcat5 status"

After the service has started, now go to the web browser and enter "localhost:8080" or enter your IP address along with the port number which is "8080" by default e.g "192.168.1.10:8080"

Login Succesfully!

And that's it! It's DONE! You need to edit a configuration file at "/srv/www/tomcat5/base/conf" file name "tomcat-users.xml"

Always remember, after you have done editing the configuration files do restart the service. And voila! Mission zu erfüllen!

Basic SQL Injection at 7/26/2011

Sql injection (aka Sql Injection or Structured Query Language Injection) is the first step in the entry to exploiting or hacking websites. It is easily done and it is a great starting off point. Unfortunately most sqli tutorials suck, so that is why I am writing this one. Sqli is just basically injecting queries into a database or using queries to get authorization bypass as an admin.

Things you should know :
Data is in the columns and the columns are in tables and the tables are in the database .
Just remember that so you understand the rest .


PART 1
Bypassing admin log in
Gaining authentication to bypass on an admin account.

Most sites vulnerable to this are .asp
First we need 2 find a site, start by opening google.
Now we type our dork: "defenition of dork" 'a search entry for a certain type of site/exploit .ect"
There is a large number of google dork for basic sql injection.
here is the best:

so what we do here is in the username we always type "Admin"
and for our password we type our sql injection

Ok, Back Track 5 is also based on Ubuntu (Lucid LTS) same as previous version of Back Track 4 R2 but that one is based on debian? huhuuu... not sure.

What new of Back Track 5?

• using kernel version 2.6.38

• now you can choose whether KDE or GNOME flavor
• also available on ARM version
• 32bit and 64bit version
• support more wireless driver for linux
